Changing your mobile phone number 

You can change your mobile phone number if you move, get undesirable calls or if you’d like a special number similar to your home number. You can also swap mobile phone numbers with another subscriber.

Log in to My Bell and change your number online or, contact an authorized dealer to arrange the number change and re-program your phone.

Unfortunately, we can’t provide a recorded greeting notifying callers that the number has changed.

Service charges

There’s a one-time charge of $20. For a special number, the one-time charge is $25. This includes the special number search and the number change. The $20 or $25 fee will appear on your Bell Mobility bill. A $15 programming fee will be charged by the dealer and is payable in-store.
The charge for number swaps is $25 for each mobile phone number changed. A $15 fee will be charged by the dealer for each mobile phone that requires programming. The fee is payable in-store.

If the wrong mobile phone number was assigned to you during in-store activation, you’ll have to go back to the same dealer, who will correct the mistake at no charge. If your mobile phone was activated by phone, you’ll have to call the same number to make the correction.

Did you know?

  • A number change may be requested only by the owner, contact or user whose name appears on the Bell Mobility account.
  • A number swap may be requested by one person, if that person’s name appears on both accounts. Otherwise, both people must be in the store at the same time to make the request.
  • One-time change fees appear on your Bell Mobility bill. Programming fees are charged by the dealer.
  • All fees are subject to change.
