Follow our to-do list to help make your next ExpressVu move go smoothly. When you move, we'll install a dish and one receiver at your new home, free of charge!
2 to 3 weeks before your move
If you have multiple Bell services, fill out the Web form in our Moving centre or call 310-BELL. Otherwise, call us at 1 888 SKYDISH to move your ExpressVu service.
Bell Expressvu will schedule an appointment to have a new dish and your receivers installed at your new address.
When you contact us, have the following information on hand:
Bell ExpressVu account number
Your new address, including postal code
Moving date
An alternate phone number where we can reach you during the move (e.g. cell phone)
Whether you need high definition and/or international programming at your new address.
Moving to a rental property or to a condominium overseen by property manager? Written permission is required before we can install the service. Download the letter of permission (PDF - 17 KB)
Tip:
You can temporarily suspend your ExpressVu programming for the duration of the move, and we'll waive the administration fee! Simply let us know when you call us about your move.
On moving day
Leave your satellite dish behind. Just pack up your receivers, remote controls and any internal switches and take them with you.
Getting ready for your installation appointment
Unpack your televisions and receivers and put them in the rooms where you want them connected.
Moving to a rental property or to a condominium overseen by property manager? Written permission is required before we can install the service. Download the form (PDF - 17 KB) and have the manager fill it out.
Make sure you can access your new home on the day of the installation.
The account holder should be on-site at the time of the installation. If you cannot be home at that time, download and fill out the form (PDF - 40 KB) to assign a delegate.
Note: Your installation may start at any time during the scheduled appointment window and may extend beyond the allotted time depending on requirements.
Type of installation and approximate time required:
Basic installation with single-tuner receiver: 2 - 2.5 hours
Basic installation with 2 single-tuner receivers: 2.5 - 3.5 hours
Basic installation with one dual-tuner receiver: 3 hours
After your installation, remember to call us at 1 888 SKYDISH to reinstate your programming. You're done. Now, sit back and enjoy the best digital TV in Canada!
