Included with a basic installation:*

• Installation of dish, cabling and satellite system
• Grounding of satellite system
• Up to 150 feet of RG-6 cable
• Activation of receiver(s) and connection to your phone line, TV and other video equipment
• Connection to second TV with dual tuner receiver
• Basic instructions on how to operate the receiver(s) and remote
• 90-day installation warranty

All-in-one rental program
Basic installation is included for primary satellite system and 3 additional tuners. Multi-satellite dish upgrade is performed at no charge. Charges may apply for installation of additional receivers and/or services not included with basic installation (see below). For more details, view the complete installation outline.

Out-right purchase:

  Basic installation is included for primary satellite system. Installation of multi-satellite dish upgrade is performed at no charge.

Existing ExpressVu subscribers: 
A minimum service call charge of $75 will apply for receiver installation for subscribers who rent or purchase additional receiver equipment. For information on additional installation charges, refer to the corresponding installation outline in the New customer section.

Mutli-satellite upgrade program:* 
Subscribers who rent or purchase receiver equipment and upgrade to high definition or select international channel programming are entitled to the following:

• Installation of any rental or ORS receiver(s) being added to the account
• Installation of any multi-satellite upgrade hardware or multi-switches.
• Any multi-satellite hardware or multi-switches needed to complete the installation

Installation-related charges will be reimbursed on your ExpressVu account statement. *You must be a customer for a minimum of 30 days to qualify for this offer.

Not included with basic installation:

• Additional connections from a single tuner receiver to other TVs
• Fishing wires through walls
• Specialized, non-basic dish installations (e.g., pole mounts, multi-storey installations, buried cable, removal of signal obstructions, etc.)
• Travel to remote locations more than 50 kms. from the technician's home-base (see installation outline for additional mileage charges)

Other factors to consider before installation:

• The dish will require south-east exposure in western Canada and south-west exposure in eastern Canada, with a clear line-of-sight (no trees, buildings, etc., blocking the dish)
• Renters require a written Letter of Permission from the landlord
• Condo owners require owners association approval by written Letter of Permission
• The actual customer must be present during the installation appointment - another adult may represent the customer provided the Appointment of Representative form is completed and signed
• Techs are not authorized or equipped to enter customer's attic for cable routing
• Dish mount location may be regulated by local by-laws
• Access to a telephone outlet is recommended

Note: Your installation may start at any time during the scheduled appointment window and may extend beyond the allotted window depending on requirements. (See below for average installation times.)

Type of installation and approximate time required:

• Basic installation with single-tuner receiver: 2 - 2.5 hours
• Basic installation with 2 single-tuner receivers: 2.5 - 3.5 hours
• Basic installation with one dual-tuner receiver: 3 hours
