The event may be blacked out because ExpressVu has not been given authorization to broadcast it in your area.
What are blackouts?
With hockey, for example, blackouts are determined according to who has the rights to broadcast a given game in a given area, and are defined by the National Hockey League. Bell ExpressVu does not arbitrarily institute game blackouts, but simply follows the restrictions set forth by the NHL or by the holders of the broadcast rights - TSN or CTV Sportsnet for example. Bell ExpressVu, as a broadcaster is obligated to abide by their rules.
