How it works
The Rapid Response Management Solution from Bell is a hosted computer-based software solution that comprises database management and state-of-the-art speech solution technology with a web application interface. The solution enables customers to build and manage a database of key constituents who need to be reached during a crisis. A variety of communication devices, including the telephone, email, Blackberrys and PDAs, can be used to contact stakeholders in a timely and reliable manner. Important, time-sensitive information can be easily disseminated to hundreds and thousands of internal and external constituents in only a matter of hours.

Migration: Dying for a Killer App
April 16 2008, Toronto Board of Trade
Pundits predicted Enterprise would move to a fully integrated Internet Protocol (IP) environment with such momentum that the IP migration would turn into a stampede. Big players and traditional first adopters who did make the early move gained several years of competitive advantage, which they continue to enjoy. But many other IT decision makers chose to wait for the arrival of a killer app that would provide a compelling reason for committing to immediate digital transition.
While some continue to wait, many refinements and productivity enhancements made possible by IP today make it imperative for organizations to take a closer look now at the benefits of strategic IP implementations.
Learn how to position your current network evolution to seamlessly and cost-effectively migrate to IP. Case studies will demonstrate how highly-tailored solutions have helped enterprises of all sizes put IP to work for their bottom line.
CRTC names Bell as Operator of the National Do Not Call List
Bell Canada has been selected by the Canadian Radio and Television Commission (CRTC) to operate the National Do Not Call List (DNCL), a nation-wide initiative that enables consumers to register their telephone numbers to reduce the number of telemarketing calls they receive.
As National DNCL Operator, Bell will design, develop, implement and operate the National DNCL to:
- Accept consumer registrations of telephone numbers on the DNCL
- Make the DNCL available to telemarketers and collect related fees, and
- Register consumer complaints about telemarketing
Consumers who want to avoid unsolicited calls can register their wireline, wireless, and fax numbers, free of charge, on the National DNCL using the Internet, or by calling a toll-free number.
The DNCL is expected to be launched by September 30, 2008. Canadian businesses have 31 days to comply with the list, once it is launched.
The National Do Not Call list was the theme of our November edition of Impact, and you can access this issue for additional information and resources by clicking here.
